Listen, I know ya’ll are here for the recipe and not for my words about how this bread won an award for something or changed my life. This isn’t the kind of website where I let you click a link and then force you to wade through 12 paragraphs that were probably written by AI and make you scroll like a ninja to avoid clicking on sneaky ads. SO, I am just going to say 2 more sentences and then you get the recipe: Please make this bread and then look at the ingredients of the bread products in your pantry. Cool? Cool.
Sorry. I guess that was 3. I was homeschooled (No offense, mom). 😉
Anywho, here is the video recipe and how to:

And here is the written recipe:
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon yeast, 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup avocado (or olive) oil, 1 1/2 Cups warm water, 4-5 cups flour, 2 teaspoons salt.
Directions:
If you want the WHY along with the how, please watch the video above. In these directions I will be much more to the point:
Combine yeast, oil, honey, and warm water into a medium to large bowl and mix to combine. Let sit for 10-15 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly and has a foam on top. After this mix in 4 cups of flour and the 2 tsp of salt. If the dough is still very sticky add more flour, 1/4 cup at a time, up to a maximum of 5 cups of flour. You’re probably going to need an average of 4 1/2 cups, you want it to be slightly sticky but not to where it sticks to your hands when kneading. Knead until dough passes window pane test (see video above for explanation if needed). Place dough in an oiled bowl and cover with a damp towel or Saran Wrap until dough has double in size (1-2 hours). Knock down the dough and make sure all the bubbles are gone and form into a log. Preheat oven at this time to 350. Place dough into an oiled loaf pan and cover once more, setting on top of where the oven is preheating for extra warmth. Once dough has doubled in size again place in the oven for 20 minutes. If top crust of bread is getting very dark at 20 minutes then cover with aluminum foil, if not then leave uncovered and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes. You know bread is fully cooked when it reaches 190 degrees. Let rest for 5 minutes and then turn out onto a wire rack to rest until mostly cool before slicing.
Please either comment here or on the YouTube video if you have any questions! It would make my day if you made this and then tagged me on instagram – @Singing_Creek_Farm
